Doctor Mehdi Mousavi is a board-certified family physician with more than 20 years of experience in medicine.
He has extensive experience in the field of cardiology, including the treatment of ischemic heart disease, hypertension, heart failure, and valvular heart disease, gained through his work as an interventional cardiologist in Iran.
He has worked as a professor and educator of medical students, residents, and fellows in Iran, and has been involved in numerous research projects, publishing original articles in medicine.
He has also published several medical books and translated many important medical references from English to Persian. He was awarded as a distinguished author for Internal Medicine Emergencies in Iran and recognized as the best translator for the book Anesthesia and Coexisting Disease at the Student Book of the Year Awards.
He has furthered his education by completing a Master of Family Medicine and a Diploma in Clinical Research at McGill University in Montreal, and has participated in research projects.
During his experience in Saskatchewan, he practiced not only as a family doctor in the clinic, emergency department, long-term care, and as a hospitalist, but also contributed to the training of medical students and family medicine residents as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.
